Dr Shannon Butler

A woman with curly blonde hair wearing blue medical scrubs, smiling with arms crossed, against a plain white background.

Dr Shannon Butler graduated from medicine (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) at The Australian National University in 2008 and has been working in general practice for over ten years. Before completing her medical degree, Shannon graduated with a science degree majoring in human physiology. She also completed an honours thesis in diabetes management comparing the use of conventional medical therapies (insulin and metformin) and two Ayurvedic herbs on glucose levels. Shannon has been consulting at Tweed Health for Everyone as a general practitioner since 2013. Shannon is an experienced general practitioner with interests in women’s health, paediatrics and nutritional medicine.  Shannon combines complementary therapies with conventional medical practices to support a holistic approach to healthcare.  When not at work or busy learning about healthcare, Shannon spends her time with her husband and two children exploring the beautiful north coast of NSW and meeting with friends and family.

Shannon is part of a large multidisciplinary team and can be found at The Tweed Health for Everyone Super Clinic (THESC).
